Cardio-The Ultimate Exercise To Reduce Stomach Fat

In my previous post, I split out the two "ingredients" that are the only real answers in my experience to reduce your stomach fat. They are nutrition and cardio and I’m sure it’s just common sense to you as well.



Unfortunately (and this drives me crazy), the web is so full of "experts" that tell you otherwise. They tell you that you can take a pill, supplement or herbal remedy and that will melt all your fat away. I’m sorry, but it’s just not the case. Even if half of what you read is true, then I can’t believe that would be the healthiest way to approach your stomach fat problem.



It reminds me of a story that Tom Venuto wrote about in his book Burn The Fat. He was so highly acclaimed in the fitness world, he was basically offered a fortune to write for one of the most prominent fitness magazines around. His first assignment was to interview a supplement company and guarantee it would be a favorable. He declined the job. And that is one of the main reasons I always look to his advice when I have fat loss and fitness questions.




But if you’re looking to trim up your waistline, then here is the big "secret". Burn more calories than you take in. That’s it. How do you burn calories? Cardio activity and increasing your muscle tone and/or mass.



Right Now Let’s Just Talk About Cardio Exercise To Reduce Stomach Fat



What is the best? Whatever you enjoy the most is the answer. I use to run but I absolutely hated it. However, I loved to play basketball and joined a league where I could play anytime I wanted to. Let me tell you, I burned more calories and got more trim than any tedious running I had done previously.



Swimming is wonderful and if you have aging legs like I have, it is much less traumatic on your joints. I used to swim all the time but don’t particularly care for public pools. Perhaps some day in the near future, a pool installation (heated) will be on my to do list.



The Wii Fit is my newest toy and if you can spring for it, they have some great cardio games.



The only key is to perform an activity for enough duration and the appropriate level of heart rate to really elevate that fat burning stage. It’s not rocket science but it does take determination and consistence.




If you want it badly enough, you will look forward to your daily cardio sessions. Trust me, it gets easier with each passing week, especially when you are performing your favorite type of cardio exercise to reduce stomach fat permanently.
